VENEER REPAIR

The burnt area not only went thru the surface veneer but also the poplar cross banding and the hard wood substrate.

after making a jig to cut the burnt area out, make / cut same species as close as possible to grain pattern with proper thickness, dry fit to check for size

fortunately the flash of the camera made the repair visible, otherwise undetectable.
